The adventure story was published in 1961 and is best for students in middle school and older. Considered by some a modern-day fairy tale, the story follows Milo, a curious young boy taken on an adventure to an alternate universe and time in which he sets out on a quest to save two princesses. The book is known for its extensive wordplay, including multiple puns and events in the book that are literal interpretations of popular English idioms.
