Cline recorded "Pieces," which was written by country singer Hank Cochran, in 1961 and became the singer's first song to reach No. 1 on the country music charts.
"Seven months pregnant when she cut it, Cline belted the ending the first time through, but the magic happened when she dropped to her lower register on her second try," wrote of the song, ranking it at number 241 of their best songs of all time.
