Federal regulators approved Paramount鈥檚 deal with Skydance.
The Federal Communications Commission鈥檚 stamp of approval Thursday on the $8 billion merger comes after months of turmoil revolving around President Donald Trump鈥檚 legal battle with 鈥�60 Minutes,鈥� the crown jewel of Paramount-owned broadcast network CBS. With the threat of the Trump administration potentially blocking the hard-fought deal with Skydance, Paramount earlier this month agreed to a $16 million settlement with the president.
