In 1946, at the war鈥檚 end, British Col. Lewis Morgan moves his family into a stately German home, sharing quarters with the German nobles residing there. Rhidian Brook portrays a devastated, broken country in the process of being de-Nazified. Unfortunately, we get a better feel for the country than for the characters, with whom it鈥檚 sometimes hard to connect. Leighton Pugh, a British actor, changes his accent for each character and reads rapidly. Occasionally he鈥檚 a bit over-the-top, but overall he鈥檚 an easy listen. Grade: B鈥
