Leonard Cohen has been publishing books of poetry to great acclaim since 1956, but his novels have fared less well. The Guardian called his novels 鈥渁n acquired taste鈥 but also pointed out that his 1966 novel Beautiful Losers 鈥 an experimental work with a love triangle and a connection to a 17th-century Mohawk saint 鈥 is 鈥渋ncreasingly seen as a classic.鈥
