Matthew Bell is an editor on the international desk in the Monitor鈥檚 newsroom in Boston.
Matthew has been working in global news since 2000, when he helped launch a weekly public radio program at KQED in San Francisco called 鈥淧acific Time.鈥� From there, he moved to The World public radio program at WGBH in Boston, where he worked as a reporter and editor on a range of subjects from U.S. foreign policy to religion, China and the Middle East. Matthew spent three years in Jerusalem as a foreign correspondent. He has spent time studying Arabic and Mandarin Chinese. Beyond journalism, Matthew plays electric guitar, commutes on his bike, and is helping raise two kids in Medford, just north of Boston.
