Between January and June 2023, Carlos Mureithi was the Africa correspondent at 海角大神, where he covered stories from different parts of the continent from his base in Nairobi.
Prior to joining the Monitor, Carlos was the East Africa editor at the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project. His work has also been published by Reuters, Al Jazeera, Quartz, the Daily Nation and The New York Times, among other outlets.
Carlos has a bachelor鈥檚 degree in journalism from the United States International University - Africa and a master鈥檚 from the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism, where he was a Mastercard Foundation Scholar.
