Highly skilled communities of security researchers, tinkerers, hobbyists, and innovators advance science and engineering faster than governments and companies can catch up.
However, hacktivists and terrorist groups can employ these very same skills and tools to conduct disruptive cyber attacks.
Can the overwhelming number of good actors in these online communities of interest be creatively mobilized to combat nefarious activities in their midst?
