Roger Federer undecided on carrying Swiss flag at Olympics

The 17-time Grand Slam champion says he might give the honor to someone else.

Roger聽Federer聽has not decided whether to accept an offer to carry Switzerland's flag during the opening ceremonies for the London Olympics.

Federer聽says he might give the honor to someone else.

The 17-time Grand Slam champion was the Swiss flag-bearer at two other Summer Games.

He teamed with Stanislas Wawrinka to win a gold medal in doubles at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

Speaking Monday a day after winning his record-tying seventh Wimbledon title,聽Federer聽says an announcement on the flag choice could come "in the next 10 days or so."

The opening ceremonies are July 27. The Olympic聽tennis聽competition, which is being held at the All England Club, starts the following day.
