Backyard Physics
In a burst
of aerial artistry
a fat-tailed squirrel 听
seizes the rim 听
of the birdfeeder 听
hurls himself 听
around in the air 听
body stretched taut 听
as he turns in the gyre 听
of his own momentum 听
centrifugal force 听
dislodging the seed 听
now spewing 听
furiously 听
in all directions
manna milled
in the whirlwind 听
of his wheeling.
