Adam Lanza was apparently bullied and beaten when he was enrolled at the elementary school in Newtown, Conn., where he shot and killed 20 students and six staffers, the New York Daily News reports.
The bullying was so bad that Lanza鈥檚 mother, Nancy, thought about suing Sandy Hook Elementary School after her son came home with bruises 鈥渁ll over his body鈥� on multiple occasions, a family member
鈥淣ancy felt fiercely protective of him,鈥� the relative told The News. 鈥淪he was convinced the school wasn鈥檛 doing enough to protect Adam. It made her irate.鈥�
Lanza鈥檚 mother went so far as to attend school with him to try and witness his classmates taunting and 鈥渁ssaulting鈥� him.
According to The News:
"The relative said Adam Lanza never seemed emotionally right after his time in Sandy Hook. Nancy Lanza switched him to another school after sixth grade.
'He was a sick boy,' the relative told The News."
