'Star Wars: The Force Awakens': Here's where you'll be able to see the new trailer
A new trailer for 'Force' will play with the theatrical release of 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' and may be online before then as well. If the new trailer is as cryptic as the first, is the secrecy surrounding the movie helping or hurting it?

We now know when 鈥 and where 鈥 we鈥檒l be able to see a new trailer for the upcoming 鈥Star Wars鈥 film 鈥淪tar Wars: The Force Awakens.鈥
A new trailer for 鈥淔orce鈥 will reportedly accompany the new Marvel movie 鈥淎vengers: Age of Ultron鈥 when it hits theaters this May, according t辞听. In addition, the new footage will screen at California鈥檚 Star Wars Celebration convention this April, so Yahoo writer Ben Skipper estimates that the footage will probably be online before 鈥淯ltron鈥 comes to theaters on May 1.聽
The first clip for 鈥淔orce鈥 was released this past November. It was a cryptic trailer but did show actor John Boyega in a stormtrooper uniform, which in the original movies was worn by the soldiers of the evil Empire, as well as what appeared to be a droid, various ships, a red lightsaber with a special hilt, and of course the Millennium Falcon, the ship piloted by smuggler Han Solo (Harrison Ford) and his sidekick Chewbacca (Peter Mayhew) in the original movies.聽
Details on the movie鈥檚 plot are being heavily guarded, to put it mildly. Is this a good thing? Many 鈥淪tar Wars鈥 fans weren鈥檛 happy with the last three 鈥淪tar Wars鈥 films, which were prequels to the original trilogy and told the story of how Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen) became the villain Darth Vader. Perhaps fans would be reassured about the upcoming films if they knew more about what they would cover.
And Abrams鈥 policy of secrecy had mixed results when it came to his 鈥Star Trek鈥 films. He kept the plot under wraps for the first movie, which was released in 2009 to general critical acclaim. However, some thought the secrecy backfired when it came to Abrams鈥 next 鈥淪tar Trek鈥 film, 鈥淪tar Trek Into Darkness,鈥 when actor Benedict Cumberbatch, who played famous "Trek" villain Khan in "Darkness," said in an interview with , 鈥淚 play a character called John and not that other name [Khan].鈥 Abrams himself told , 鈥淭he truth is I think it probably would have been smarter just to say up front, 'This is who it is.'鈥澛
However, in terms of 鈥淪tar Wars,鈥 one piece of information that was revealed by those behind the film did get many fans excited 鈥 the news that many of the original cast members are coming back. Those returning include Ford, Mark Hamill as Jedi knight Luke Skywalker, Carrie Fisher as Princess Leia Organa, Anthony Daniels and Kenny Baker as droids C-3PO and R2D2, and Mayhew. Just knowing that may be enough for fans right now.
