Olivia Wilde, Steve Carell star in the magicians comedy 'The Incredible Burt Wonderstone'

Olivia Wilde, Steve Carell and Steve Buscemi star in the movie 'Wonderstone,' which also features Jim Carrey as a popular illusionist. Steve Carell is a fading Las Vegas magician while Olivia Wilde is a stage assistant.

Steve Carell, Steve Buscemi, Jim Carrey, and Olivia Wilde star in the film 鈥The Incredible Burt Wonderstone,鈥 a comedy which follows a magician duo Burt Wonderstone and Anton Marvelton (Carell and Buscemi), who are struggling to stay relevant as an up-and-coming conjurer (Carrey) wows the world with his shocking tricks.

Wilde plays magician's assistant Jane, while actor Alan Arkin co-stars as Rance Holloway, the magician who convinced Wonderstone to pursue the same career.

The movie is scheduled to come out on March 15.

鈥淏urt鈥 will be Carell鈥檚 first comedy since 2011鈥檚 鈥Crazy, Stupid, Love.鈥 after starring in the 2012 dramas 鈥Hope Springs鈥 and 鈥Seeking a Friend for the End of the World.鈥 Buscemi comes from starring on HBO鈥檚 series 鈥Boardwalk Empire,鈥 which aired its season three finale in December, as well as appearing in the 2012 film adaptation of Jack Kerouac鈥檚 book 鈥On the Road.鈥

鈥淲onderstone鈥 will be Carrey鈥檚 first film work since the 2011 movie 鈥淢r. Popper鈥檚 Penguins.鈥 After starring on 鈥House,鈥 Wilde recently appeared in the 2011 action movie 鈥Cowboys and Aliens鈥 and the drama 鈥People Like Us,鈥 which starred Elizabeth Banks and Chris Pine.听

Meanwhile, Arkin was nominated for an Oscar this year for Best Supporting Actor for his role as an irascible film producer in the movie 鈥淎rgo.鈥

Illusionist David Copperfield worked behind the scenes on "Wonderstone" and created a magic trick that is performed at the end of the film. Director Don Scardino said in an interview with the that having an eye-popping finale was essential for him.

鈥淥bviously, in a movie about magic, you can do anything with camera tricks," he said. "I wanted one big stage illusion where you go, 'Oh, wow, how'd they do that?'"

As for the onscreen talent, Carell, who is a producer on the film, told the Los Angeles Times that he thinks the unexpected combination of actors is part of what makes the film a success.

鈥淚t's a very diverse cast, not one you would imagine together," said Carell. "I think it's worked beautifully. And we've gotten everybody we wanted.鈥
