The entrance fees for all 408 national parks will be waived, which is a savings of up to $30 depending on your chosen destination. Can't make the trip on a Wednesday? Is It Worth It?: On November 7 at participating Home Depot stores, your child can attend a Build a Veterans Day Jet workshop for free. Along with their craft, kids will take home a certificate of achievement, a workshop apron, and a commemorative pin. This event is open to children ages five to 12, and you'll want to register today to ensure your kid's spot. It's scheduled for 9 am to noon local time.
