What鈥檚 coming from Elon Musk and Tesla could be much bigger (faster) than we thought
Elon Musk tweeted and the Internet exploded with speculation. But Musk said it didn't explode enough.

Is Tesla about to unleash a car that can go from 0 to 60 mph in less than three seconds? If the Internet has its way, yes.
When CEO Elon Musk Wednesday to tease an Oct. 9 announcement, speculation about what 鈥淒鈥 might be ran wild.
But maybe not wild enough. 聽Electrek claims that the marquee feature of today鈥檚 Tesla event at 6 p.m. Pacific time will be the P85D 鈥 a 鈥渟upersport鈥 version of the Tesla Model S 鈥 will have all-wheel drive. That part is widely expected.
鈥淲hat鈥檚 perhaps not expected is what Tesla has been able to squeeze out of this battery and Dual-motor beast. My understanding is that the vehicle has been testing (unofficially) under three seconds on the 0 to 60,鈥 Electrek reported. 鈥淭his is incredibly fast.鈥
Interestingly, this bit of speculation falls nicely into what Mr. Musk shared in a typically vague interview with Vanity Fair where he danced around questions but said this: 鈥淭he internet is very good at guessing these things. They are directionally correct but the magnitude is not well appreciated yet.鈥
Could that 0 to 60 be that missing magnitude?
We鈥檒l find out tonight.
