'All the Light We Cannot See' won't be dislodged from bestseller lists
'Light' came out months ago but is holding its own on bestseller lists among newer releases such as 'The Girl on the Train' by Paula Hawkins.
'All the Light We Cannot See' is by Anthony Doerr.
Months after its initial publication, Anthony Doerr鈥檚 鈥淎ll the Light We Cannot See鈥 continues to be a smash bestseller.
聽鈥淟ight,鈥 which focuses on a German boy and French girl living during World War II, was first published this past May and quickly racked up critical acclaim 鈥 it was selected as one of the best books of the month by both the Monitor and Amazon. As we previously reported, it also became one of the biggest sellers of this past holiday season. 鈥淎nthony Doerr is blowing everything away,鈥 Daniel Goldin, owner of Milwaukee鈥檚 Boswell Book Company, told industry newsletter Shelf Awareness when asked to name his store鈥檚 bestsellers.
And now the novel refuses to be dislodged from the bestseller lists. 鈥淟ight鈥 is currently ranked at number one on the IndieBound hardcover fiction bestseller list for the week of Jan. 30 and is currently at number seven on and at number four on Amazon. It's also at number four on the combined print and e-book fiction bestseller list for the week of Jan. 25 and at number one on the hardcover fiction list for the same week.
The books 鈥淟ight鈥 is behind on both B&N and include 鈥淎merican Sniper鈥 by Chris Kyle and 鈥淭he Girl on the Train鈥 by Paula Hawkins. 鈥淭rain鈥 is a new release and 鈥淪niper鈥 is enjoying a post-movie boost, but 鈥淟ight鈥 seems to simply be hanging on to its high rankings.
