'The Casual Vacancy' TV cast will include Michael Gambon, Rory Kinnear

Cast members for the TV adaptation of J.K. Rowling鈥檚 novel 鈥淭he Casual Vacancy鈥� have been announced, and one will be familiar to fans of Rowling鈥檚 鈥淗arry Potter鈥� series.
Actor Michael Gambon, who portrayed wise wizard Dumbledore after actor Richard Harris died, will star on the BBC/HBO production as delicatessen owner Howard Mollison, while 鈥淎gatha Christie鈥檚 Marple鈥� actress Julia McKenzie will portray his wife, Shirley, according to .
The series will also star 鈥淧enny Dreadful鈥� actor Rory Kinnear as parish council member Barry Fairbrother, 鈥淓dge of Heaven鈥� actor Rufus Jones as Howard鈥檚 son Miles, and Keeley Hawes of 鈥淭he Tunnel鈥� as Miles鈥� wife Samantha. Other actors on board include Keeley Forsyth, Abigail Lawrie, Simon McBurney, Michelle Austin, Marie Critchley, Monica Dolan, and Richard Glover.聽
According to Variety, the series will air in three parts and the production will begin filming next month.聽
