'Outlander' trailer shows more of the TV adaptation of the bestselling novels

The TV series based on the bestselling novels by Diana Gabaldon premieres this summer.

A new trailer for the upcoming Starz TV adaptation of the 鈥淥utlander鈥 series shows more of protagonist Claire鈥檚 travels in time.

The 鈥淥utlander鈥 series by Diana Gabaldon follows Claire Randall (Caitriona Balfe), a married former nurse living in 1945 who travels back in time to eighteenth-century Scotland. While there, she meets and falls in love with Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) and is torn between staying there and going back to her husband, Frank (鈥淕ame of Thrones鈥 actor Tobias Menzies).

The new clip shows Claire鈥檚 life with Frank as Claire herself speaks in voiceover.

The trailer shows Claire being taken to Castle Leoch, the home of the MacKenzie clan and Jamie鈥檚 relatives.

鈥淵ou need not be scared so long as I鈥檓 with you,鈥 Jamie tells Claire.

鈥淎nd when you鈥檙e not with me?鈥 she asks him.聽

鈥淏e careful,鈥 he says.
