Orders for US manufacturers dropped by 0.7% last monthCorrection
Orders to US factories fell 0.7 percent in August, the second decline in the past three months, the Commerce Department reported Wednesday. Orders for manufactured products dropped $1.4 billion to a total of $192.6 billion. The decline followed a 1.8 percent July increase and a 1.6 percent June decrease.
