North Korean war games put US units on alert

North Korea staged large-scale war games without advance warning earlier this month and concerned US troop commanders in South Korea sent American warships steaming toward the peninsula, it was disclosed Monday.
US Navy Rear Adm. James Storms asked the Communist North Koreans that prior notice be provided for future maneuvers by both sides.
