Habib briefs Lebanese on his Mideast mission

US special presidential envoy Philip Habib left Beirut after meeting with Lebanese President Elias Sarkis on his mission to bring peace to the war-torn country.
Government sources said Mr. Habib briefed the Lebanese head of state on his latest crisis tour of the Middle East, his fourth since the start of the Syrian-Israeli missile crisis in May. He visited Syria, Jordan, Israel, Saudi Arabia, and Lebanon.
