Brooks released "Dance" in 1990, with the song "Friends in Low Places," which also made the cut for this list, as its B-side. The music video for the song became well-known for its footage of Martin Luther King, Jr., President John F. Kennedy, and the members of the Challenger space shuttle crew, who were selected as figures who sacrificed themselves for a dream. Brooks states during the video that while the lyrics of "Dance" can also refer to a relationship, they also discuss someone dying for their beliefs. (Check it out .)
