Julie Delpy is best known for her acting collaborations with Ethan Hawke in Richard Linklater鈥檚 鈥淏efore鈥� trilogy, but she also has directed as well as starred in several movies of her own.

The latest, 鈥淟olo,鈥� is a mildly enjoyable jape about an overprotective single mother whose doting 19-year-old son, nicknamed Lolo, inevitably sabotages all of her potential suitors 鈥� without her being aware of the sabotage. Her new beau, Jean-Ren茅 (Dany Boon), is his latest victim. It鈥檚 all meant to be funnier than it is. Grade: C+ (This film is not rated.)
