The Envelope, Please: First-time nominee Chiwetel Ejiofor, portraying free man-turned-slave Solomon Northup, could benefit from overall admiration from the Academy towards the movie "Slave," but Matthew McConaughey, also a first-time nominee, has captured the Screen Actors Guild and Golden Globe awards for his portrayal of Ron Woodroof, a homophobic man diagnosed with AIDS. He'll most likely be the one up on the Academy Awards stage on March 2.
