Stanley Donen and Gene Kelly's 1952 film stars Kelly as Don Lockwood, one half of a dynamite silent movie team. But when "talkie" movies become popular and his co-star Lina Lamont's nails-on-a-chalkboard voice spells disaster, he, his best friend Cosmo (Donald O'Connor), and girlfriend Kathy (Debbie Reynolds) must figure out how to save his career.
In the famous scene in which Kelly tap-dances in the rain, he had a high fever at the time. The production team decided to use milk mixed with water for the rain because it was more visible.
