An omnivore is person who eats anything at any time of the year, whether it is in season or not. Thanks to the convenience of supermarket food and an efficient food industry, omnivores are presented with an endless array of choices. Journalist Michael Pollan helped to elevated this definition with his book 鈥淭he Omnivore鈥檚 Dilemma鈥 (2006), in which he presents the idea that the overabundance of available food has transformed the simple act of cooking dinner into a dilemma ricocheting between too many choices.
