This 1979 film features a few famous faces 鈥� including Dennis Quaid and Daniel Stern 鈥� as part of a group of four friends struggling to find their place after high school. Known as 鈥渃utters鈥� 鈥� kids of those who work in the town鈥檚 limestone quarries 鈥� the group is often criticized by other kids in town who are heading to college while they stay to work. Among the cutters, Dave has dreams of being a champion cyclist, and enlists his friends to participate in the local college鈥檚 鈥淟ittle 500鈥� bike race, facing down members of an Italian cycling team he idolizes and the college kids who consider him and his friends unworthy.
