A trailer has been released for the upcoming movie focusing on the Marvel superhero Ant-Man.
The film stars Paul Rudd as Scott Lang, who is reportedly a thief that scientist Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) tries to convince to become the superhero. In the comic books, Hank creates a serum that makes people tiny and builds the Ant-Man costume, becoming Ant-Man himself for a time, and Scott later steals the suit from him. However, according to , in the movie Hank recruits Scott to take on the superhero identity.
鈥淭he World鈥檚 End鈥� director Edgar Wright was originally set to direct 鈥淎nt-Man鈥� but left the project and Peyton Reed of 鈥淵es Man鈥� and 鈥淭he Break-Up鈥� is now at the helm. 鈥淎nt-Man鈥� also co-stars 鈥淭he Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies鈥� actress Evangeline Lilly as Hope Van Dyne, who in the comic books is Hank Pym鈥檚 daughter, and actor Corey Stoll of 鈥淭his Is Where I Leave You鈥� as Darren Cross, who according to is the villain of the film and later becomes Yellowjacket.聽
In the trailer, Scott is shown surrendering to police and Hank tries to convince him to take on the Ant-Man identity. 鈥淒on鈥檛 let anyone tell you that you have nothing to offer,鈥� he says. 鈥淭his is your chance to earn that look in your daughter鈥檚 eyes, to become the hero that she already thinks you are.鈥� (Comic book fans will remember that Cassie Lang, Scott鈥檚 daughter, later becomes a superhero herself.)聽

The new clip also pokes fun at the superhero. 鈥淥ne question 鈥撀爄s it too late to change the name?鈥� Scott asks Hank.聽
鈥淎nt-Man鈥� will be released on July 17 in a summer movie season that will also see the arrival of the 鈥淎vengers鈥� sequel, 鈥淭he Avengers: Age of Ultron,鈥� in May.
