"The key is not the will to win... everybody has that. It is the will to prepare to win that is important."

Besides compiling the second most major college basketball victories ever (902), retired coach Bob Knight owns the distinction of having led the last perfect-record team, Indiana University, when it finished 32-0 in wining the national championship. Knight also directed the 1984 US men鈥檚 Olympic team to a gold medal. Despite taking IU to three NCAA championships, the school fired him in 2000 after his history of angry outbursts finally reached the tipping point. Knight finished out his career at Texas Tech, where he walked away from coaching in 2008 only to become a studio and game analyst for ESPN. The highlight of his playing days came as a reserve on Ohio State鈥檚 1960 national championship team, led by Jerry Lucas and John Havlicek.
