While video games based on movies usually aren鈥檛 very good (Harry Potter, Game of Thrones), Sega鈥檚 Aliens: Colonial Marines has the potential to beat the odds. Based on James Cameron鈥檚 1986 classic thriller 鈥�Aliens,鈥� this first-person shooters will 鈥渂asically make, in video game form, the sequel to the 鈥楢liens鈥� film that we all wished for,鈥� according to President of Gearbox Software Randy Pitchford. Previews of Colonial Marines show that the developers didn鈥檛 stray too much from the movie, however 鈥� there鈥檚 still plenty of facehuggers and alien creatures to be terminated, and plenty of foul-mouthed marines to do the job.
While the game's release date was moved to Feb. 12, 2013, Sega more previews and demos of Colonial Marines. We want to get a better look at the new aliens species they鈥檝e developed, one of which is aptly named 鈥渢he crusher鈥� for its thick armor.
