Alexander Goodwin first met Murray while undergoing cancer treatments.
鈥淗e was just this little bundle of joy running about,鈥 says Alex, now a beaming 11-year-old. 鈥淎nd he made me laugh, and he made me cry because of happiness 鈥 both of them at the same time.鈥
Murray and Alex found each other through a program called in Britain, where Alex lives. Founder Anita Morris is a psychologist who uses birds of prey in her unique practice.

Next year he expects to earn his falconry certification. When he grows up, 鈥淚 hope to start my own campaign to save owls and other animals 鈥撀爏o they don鈥檛 go extinct.鈥
