Somewhat offset by its high cost of living, full-time working women in the nation鈥檚 capital earn the highest median income of any of the top ten cities. The pay gap between male and female workers is also lower than most other cities in the country. Women in politics, research or the tourism industry enjoy the most opportunities here.
