"Thank You for Smoking" writer Buckley turns his comic talents to the 16th century with his new novel. In "Relic," protagonist Dismas gives fake religious artifacts to his patrons. Dismas soon decides to try to create a copy of the Shroud of Turin. "[It's] sort of 'The Da Vinci Code' as filtered (no pun intended) through 'Thank You for Smoking,'" says Nelson. "He's very funny."
