Ron Rash鈥檚 2008 novel is set in North Carolina during the Great Depression, where Serena has just moved with her husband George Pemberton. Serena is a strong and vindictive woman, and conflict arises when she learns that she cannot have children. Jennifer Lawrence will appear as Serena and Bradley Cooper as George. A release date for the movie has not yet been set.
