Henry Pym is one of the most brilliant scientists in the Marvel Universe. Some of his inventions didn鈥檛 always work out (he was the creator of the robot Ultron, who turned on its creator and became one of the Avengers鈥� greatest foes). But Pym鈥檚 greatest achievement is the serums that give the ability to grow like a giant or shrink to the size of an ant. Because of these inventions, he has had a variety of superhero personas. As one of the founders of the Avengers, he started out as Antman, shrinking to the size of an ant and even controlling swarms of actual ants. Next he became Giantman, able to grow giant size. He later changed the name of his giant persona to Goliath. He then went back to his shrinking serum to become the flying, stinging Yellowjacket. He is currently the Wasp, taking the superhero name of his late ex-wife.
