6. 'Finding Nemo'

"Nemo," which was released in 2003 and co-directed by Andrew Stanton and Lee Unkrich, follows a worrywart clownfish, Marlin, and his adventurous son, Nemo. When Nemo is captured by a diver and brought to a dentist's office in Australia to live in a tank, Marlin must overcome his fears of the outside world to find his son, as Nemo does his best to escape.

The director voices the relaxed turtle, Crush, who helps Marlin on his quest.

The Pixar artists behind the film went diving and visited aquariums to learn more about sea life and help them create lifelike movements for the creatures in the film. "We couldn't go into our old bag of tricks," supervising animator Dylan Brown told . "When a human character, like Woody in Toy Story, is depressed, we can show that by having his shoulders slump. But fish have no shoulders to slump."
