Harry Bruinius is the Monitor鈥檚 Heartland Correspondent, covering the Great Plains and Midwest.
Harry began writing for the Monitor in 1999 as an intern in New York City, and continued as a regular contributor for over a decade. He became a staff writer in 2013 and the New York Bureau Chief in 2017.
Harry now lives as a digital nomad on his beat with his two cats, Poppy and Jasmin.
