College football TV schedule: Clemson still top cat, Baylor-Okla. top game

The Tigers are in the driver's seat again this week in the CFP poll. Meanwhile, some are calling the Bears-Sooners contest a Big 12 elimination game.

Following a stirring victory over ACC nemesis Florida State last Saturday, Clemson held onto the top spot in this week's College Football Playoff (CFP) poll. Alabama moved up to No. 2 after thrashing LSU. Ohio State remained in third place and Notre Dame is now fourth-ranked.

Speaking of CFP-ranked teams, those with games kicking off at noon Eastern time include No. 11聽Florida聽on the road at South Carolina, which you can watch on ESPN.

No. 3聽Ohio State聽is also on the road at Illinois for a noon game on ABC.

TCU, now having fallen from the ranks of the unbeaten, looks to bounce back at home against Kansas. The 15th-ranked Horned Frogs and Jayhawks will be televised on Fox Sports 1 at noon Eastern.

Michigan State, as well, suffered its first loss of the season last Saturday night at Nebraska. The Spartans, now at No. 13, hope to get back on the winning track against Maryland at noon on ESPN2.

No. 18聽Northwestern聽will host Purdue at noon on the Big Ten Network.

At 12:30 p.m. Eastern, Florida State, still the 16th-ranked team in the land, will host North Carolina State. This game will be live streamed on ESPN3.

Notre Dame聽returns home for an encounter against Wake Forest at 3:30 p.m. on NBC.

Clemson, who knocked Ohio State from the top spot in this week's AP Top 25 poll, travels to Syracuse, New York, to play the Orangemen. This game will be televised on ABC at 3:30.

Meanwhile, Alabama, who so thoroughly dominated LSU last Saturday night, goes on the road to No. 17聽Mississippi State聽for a 3:30 p.m. game on CBS.

No. 8聽Oklahoma State聽looks to continue its winning ways of late at Iowa State. ESPN is televising this Big 12 clash at 3:30 p.m.

Michigan, ranked 14th, travels to Indiana to meet the Hoosiers. ABC will broadcast this game at 3:30 p.m.

Navy, ranked for the first time this year at No. 20 after knocking off previously undefeated Memphis last Saturday night, will host SMU at 3:30 p.m. on the CBS Sports Network.

No. 22聽Temple聽travels to Tampa to take on South Florida at 7 p.m., also on the CBS Sports Network.

Houston, still undefeated at 9-0, is ranked 24th this week in the CFP. The Cougars will play host to 21st-ranked聽Memphis聽Saturday night at 7 p.m. Eastern on ESPN2.

LSU聽goes home to lick its wounds after the Alabama loss and will play Arkansas, who outlasted Mississippi in overtime last Saturday night. This game between the now ninth-ranked Tigers and Razorbacks will be broadcast by ESPN at 7:15 p.m. Eastern.

Stanford聽can clinch a spot in the Pac-12 Conference Championship game with a with over Oregon Saturday night. You can watch the No. 7 Cardinal and Ducks on Fox at 7:30 p.m. Eastern.

In the game of the day and night, No. 12聽Oklahoma聽travels to Waco, Texas, to take on sixth-ranked Baylor. ABC will televise the Sooners and Bears, beginning at 8 p.m. Eastern.

No. 5聽Iowa聽quietly remains undefeated at 9-0. The Hawkeyes will host Minnesota in a Big Ten affair, also at 8 p.m., on the Big Ten Network.

Tenth-ranked聽Utah聽will be at Arizona. Fox Sports 1 will broadcast this Pac-12 clash, starting at 10 p.m. Eastern.

Finally, No. 19聽UCLA聽will meet Washington State late Saturday night. ESPN will televise this contest, with kickoff at approximately 10:45 p.m. Eastern.
