Country singers Faith Hill and Tim McGraw will be appearing on the NBC singing competition 鈥淭he Voice鈥 as advisors during a season that has also seen new talent come on board the show as coaches.

Ms. Hill and Mr. McGraw will appear on 鈥淰oice鈥 later this month. 聽Of course, this isn't a completely altruistic endeavor.聽

The married couple announced Tuesday that they would be going on tour together for the first time in a decade, as USA Today reports.

Past advisors on "The Voice" include Miley Cyrus, who is now serving as a coach, as well as singers such as Pink, Dolly Parton, and Taylor Swift.聽

Coaches have rotated fairly regularly on 鈥淰oice鈥 with the exception of singers Blake Shelton and Adam Levine of Maroon 5, who have appeared on every season of the show. Other coaches, including Christina Aguilera, Shakira, and Usher, have left the show for a time, and then returned.聽

But the two coaches who joined Mr. Shelton and Mr. Levine this season were new to the program (and with Cyrus and Keys joining the team, there are two female coaches on the show for the first time ever).

What do critics think of Ms. Cyrus and Ms. Keys鈥 work on the show?聽

Entertainment Weekly writer Amanda Bell was impressed with how Cyrus and Keys worked to convince singers to join their teams, which is a key component of the show.聽

鈥淔or a pair of newcomers to this coaching game, Alicia and Miley were mighty impressive in snagging away big potential from the boys,鈥 Ms. Bell wrote. 鈥...[In a recent episode, Keys] declares herself the queen of the four chairs after annexing [singers Shannon and Whitney] to her turf, and she鈥檚 right.鈥澛

TVLine writer Michael Slezak, meanwhile, is very impressed so far with Cyrus鈥檚 appearances on the show.聽

鈥淗er sharp ear, unabashed enthusiasm, sense of humor and specific ideas for struggling artists have made her something approaching a revelation on a show where female coaches have never quite reached the levels of popularity achieved by original flavors Blake and Adam,鈥 Mr. Slezak wrote.
