TheWrap noted Wednesday that the lottery drama had the lowest average ratings of any new show in the fall, and the lowest of any Big 4 show overall. 鈥淓ven the most nervous gambler would have to bet on 鈥淟ucky 7鈥� to be the first show to be canceled in 2013-14,鈥� we said.
Though the show shared a night with 鈥淎gents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,鈥� an early fall hit for ABC, it mustered only an unlucky .7 rating Tuesday in the key 18-49 demographic.
That was down from its debut, which was the worst for a drama in ABC history.
The failure of 鈥淟ucky 7鈥� to thrive suggests ABC鈥檚 plan to build Tuesdays around 鈥淪.H.I.E.L.D鈥� hasn鈥檛 worked out, so far.
On Tuesday, 鈥淪.H.I.E.L.D.鈥� at 8 had a 3.1/10 鈥� down 34 percent from its splashy debut 鈥� and 8.4 million total viewers. At 9, 鈥淭he Goldbergs鈥� had a 2.2/6, down 29 percent in the demo, and 6.2 million. 鈥淭rophy Wife鈥� at 9:30 had a 1.4/4 鈥� down 39 percent 鈥� and 4.3 million. Last week, 鈥淟ucky 7鈥瞫鈥� 38 percent dip gave it an .8/2 rating with 2.8 million total viewers.
ABC is losing viewers with each Tuesday show 鈥� and 鈥淟ucky 7鈥� has the misfortune to be last in line.
