A new trailer has been released for the upcoming movie 鈥淭he Hunger Games: Mockingjay 鈥� Part 2.鈥�

The upcoming film is the finale of the 鈥淗unger Games鈥� series, which is based on the trilogy by writer Suzanne Collins. The last book in the series, 鈥淢ockingjay,鈥� was split into two films, with 鈥淢ockingjay 鈥� Part 1,鈥� having been released in November 2014.聽

The 鈥淗unger Games鈥� series stars Jennifer Lawrence as protagonist Katniss Everdeen, who in the new trailer is determined to take down the villainous President Snow (Donald Sutherland). 鈥淣othing good is safe while Snow鈥檚 alive,鈥� she says. The series co-stars Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth as Peeta Mellark and Gale Hawthorne, the other two corners of Everdeen's love triangle, as well as actress Elizabeth Banks of 鈥淧itch Perfect 2,鈥� and 鈥淭rue Detective鈥� actor Woody Harrelson.

Each installment in the series has done very well at the box office, following the huge success of the book series. So, Hollywood executives are no doubt asking, what鈥檚 the next 鈥淗unger Games鈥�? Is there a next 鈥淗unger Games鈥�?聽

The popular young-adult dystopian film series based on author聽Veronica Roth's 鈥淒ivergent鈥� book series is already about halfway through the series. As with 鈥淗unger Games,鈥� the last book, 鈥淎llegiant,鈥� will be split into two films, scheduled for 2016 and 2017.

Meanwhile, the first installment of another young-adult dystopian series, 鈥淭he Maze Runner,鈥� did well, so it鈥檚 a possible heir to the 鈥淕ames鈥� throne (though it remains to be seen whether anything would have the same name recognition as Collins鈥� trilogy). The second installment in the 鈥淢aze鈥� series, 鈥淢aze Runner: The Scorch Trials,鈥� is coming this September, and the third will be released in 2017.聽

Are there any other contenders for young adult dystopian successes? Rick Yancey鈥檚 book 鈥淭he 5th聽Wave鈥�, which centers on a teenage girl living in a society in ruins, is being adapted as a movie that will be released in 2016.聽

But other upcoming young-adult films are centered in fantasy and real-world settings.聽One of 2016鈥檚 big releases is "Harry Potter" spinoff 鈥淔antastic Beasts and Where to Find Them."

And one of this summer鈥檚 releases is 鈥淧aper Towns,鈥� based on the book of the same name by John Green. The movie adaptation of Green鈥檚 book 鈥淭he Fault in Our Stars鈥� was a big hit last summer, so if 鈥淧aper鈥� scores big at the box office, expect to see Hollywood eyeing his other novels.
