The part of Queen Elsa, originally from the Disney animated movie 鈥淔rozen,鈥� for the ABC TV show 鈥淥nce Upon a Time鈥� has gone to actress Georgina Haig, according to TV Guide.

It was earlier announced that 鈥淕reek鈥� actor Scott Michael Foster will portray ice salesman Kristoff on 鈥淥nce鈥� and actress Elizabeth Lail will be playing Anna, Elsa鈥檚 younger sister, according to TV Guide.聽

Haig, an Australian actress, previously starred on the Fox science fiction drama 鈥淔ringe鈥� and is now on "Reckless," which is currently airing on CBS.聽

The character of Elsa seemed to be introduced in last spring鈥檚 season finale of 鈥淥nce鈥� when the end of the episode featured a blonde woman in a blue gown who could shoot ice out of her hand 鈥� certainly a match for the 鈥淔rozen鈥� queen.聽

However, while new characters on 鈥淥nce鈥� like the Wicked Witch of the West and Peter Pan have often been villains, executive producer Edward Kitsis told TV Guide, 鈥淸Elsa] was never a villain,鈥� while executive producer Adam Horowitz said, 鈥淭he thing we loved so much about that movie, among a million other things, was that Elsa was misunderstood.鈥�

The introduction was also an interesting twist because Elsa鈥檚 character, as well as those of Anna and Kristoff, are so new compared to the others on 鈥淥nce鈥� such as Snow White and the boy who never grew up. However, Elsa is based on the title character from 鈥淭he Snow Queen鈥� by Hans 海角大神 Andersen.聽

Elsa was voiced by 鈥淲icked鈥� star Idina Menzel for the film, while 鈥淰eronica Mars鈥� actress Kristen Bell was behind the voice of Anna and 鈥淕lee鈥� actor Jonathan Groff handled the vocal part for Kristoff. The movie also starred 鈥淭he Book of Mormon鈥� actor Josh Gad as snowman Olaf.

鈥淔rozen鈥� won Best Animated Feature Film at this year鈥檚 Oscars and the hit song sung by Elsa, 鈥淟et It Go,鈥� took the Best Original Song prize.

鈥淥nce鈥� returns for its fourth season this fall.聽
