For years,聽Star Wars聽fans have wondered what a sequel trilogy to the original three films would look like. What had become of iconic heroes like Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill), Princess Leia Organa (Carrie Fisher) and Han Solo (Harrison Ford) after the destruction of the second Death Star? Then came Disney鈥檚 acquisition of Lucasfilm and the subsequent聽announcement of聽Star Wars Episode VII.

Ever since, one of the main questions on fans鈥� minds has been whether or not any classic characters would make an appearance. Hamill and Fisher have previously hinted that they were in talks for a return to their most famous roles, but no official announcement has yet been made regarding any actors appearing in JJ Abrams鈥�Episode VII.听

贬辞飞别惫别谤,听WGN TV聽recently caught up with Ford and asked him if there was any truth to ongoing rumors that he鈥檇 return to the role of Han Solo. Here鈥檚 what he had to say:

鈥淚 think it鈥檚 almost true. I鈥檓 looking forward to it. It鈥檚 not in the bag yet, but I think it鈥檚 happening.鈥�

Right from the start, we knew that Ford was 鈥渙pen鈥� to the idea of returningas everyone鈥檚 favorite space smuggler. However, his latest comment lends even greater credence to the belief that his return is likely imminent.听George Lucasrecently revealed that Ford and his co-stars were in final negotiations for the film, and聽Billy Dee Williams聽has also expressed interest in joining the fold.

Disney and Lucasfilm may be waiting until contract negotiations are finished to reveal their intentions for the new聽Star Wars, but it鈥檚 becoming abundantly clear that they are planning a reunion of sorts for聽Episode VII. Meanwhile, the debate rages on about if the return of so many beloved characters will聽help or hinder the film.
