One action can inspire many more
The article 鈥淎mara Nwuneli builds an oasis for kids in a congested megacity,鈥� from the Oct. 27, 2025, issue of the Monitor鈥檚 Weekly edition, was both inspiring and informative.
Amara Nwuneli recognized a problem and, despite more than one roadblock, oversaw the development of a park that is free and available to everyone in the community. Just as important, she wanted this project to raise awareness about how climate change has impacted her home of Lagos, Nigeria. So this park provides immediate benefit, and can also lead to bigger results.
I often share the Monitor鈥檚 People Making a Difference articles with my friends. More than just interesting narratives, they inspire, too. These articles show that any of us 鈥� young or old, wealthy or not 鈥� has a unique power to make a difference.
