Good book for your flight? JetBlue can provide

JetBlue is adding e-books from HarperCollins to its entertainment mix. Passengers can read excerpts from new titles and then choose to purchase the rest.

In the scramble to get out of the house to catch your Thanksgiving flight, did you forget to pack a book? JetBlue has you covered.

According to the airline, previews of various e-books published by HarperCollins is part of the new entertainment now available on JetBlue flights. Sections of titles like 鈥淵es Please鈥 by Amy Poehler and 鈥淭he Heist鈥 by Daniel Silva, among others, can be perused by customers mid-flight. Excerpts of more than 20 titles will be made available. The excerpts will include buy buttons for customers who want to finish the book.

According to JetBlue, Random House titles will be added as options beginning in the first quarter of 2015.

The HarperCollins titles are part of a group of new entertainment options that includes Fox TV shows like 鈥淣ew Girl鈥 and 鈥淪leepy Hollow,鈥 National Geographic shows like 鈥淲icked Tuna鈥 and 鈥淏rain Games,鈥 and other materials.聽

"This is a terrific opportunity for travelers to enjoy some of the best books of the year during the busy, and oftentimes stressful, holiday travel period,鈥 Angela Tribelli, HarperCollins chief marketing officer, said in a statement.
