A trailer has been released for the movie 鈥淩osewater,鈥 based on journalist Maziar Bahari鈥檚 memoir 鈥淭hen They Came for Me.鈥澛
The movie is directed and was written by Jon Stewart of 鈥淭he Daily Show鈥 and stars actor Gael Garcia Bernal of the movie 鈥淣o鈥 as Bahari. Bahari, who was born in Iran and was a reporter for Newsweek, went to the country to cover the 2009 election and was later imprisoned there for almost four months.
The film also stars actor Kim Bodnia of 鈥淭he Bridge鈥 as Rosewater, Bahari鈥檚 interrogator whom he named after the scent the interrogator liked to wear, as well as Shohreh Aghdashloo, Golshifteh Farahani, and Dimitri Leonidas.聽
鈥淩osewater鈥 is scheduled to be released on Nov. 7.
