ABC has reportedly ordered a pilot for a TV series adaptation of Lily Koppel鈥檚 book 鈥淭he Astronaut Wives鈥� Club.鈥�
鈥淐lub,鈥� which was released this past June, follows the wives of the men involved in America鈥檚 space program, from the small club of those who were married to the Mercury Seven to the later expansion of the group as more and more astronauts joined NASA.
Publishers Weekly called the book 鈥淸an] entertaining and quirky throwback鈥� this is truly a great snapshot of the times.鈥�
The pilot of 鈥淐lub鈥� is being produced by 鈥淭he Illusionist鈥� producer Michael London and 鈥淕ossip Girl鈥� creators Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, according to Deadline. Savage is writing the pilot.
