The film adaptation of Cheryl Strayed鈥檚 bestselling memoir 鈥淲ild鈥� has found a director.
Jean-Marc Vall茅e, who is also behind the upcoming movie 鈥淒allas Buyers Club,鈥� is set to direct the movie which will star Reese Witherspoon as Strayed.
鈥淒allas鈥� tells the story of an electrician who went up against pharmaceutical companies after being diagnosed with HIV in the 1980s. The film is due to be released this December. Vall茅e is also behind the 2009 film 鈥淭he Young Victoria,鈥� for which actress Emily Blunt received a Golden Globe nomination.
Writer Nick Hornby of 鈥淎bout a Boy鈥� and 鈥淎n Education鈥� is penning the screenplay.
鈥淲ild,鈥� which was originally released in March 2012 and is still at number 20 on the New York Times combined print and e-book nonfiction list.
