Award-winning author Neil Gaiman will write five upcoming books for children 鈥� three chapter books and two picture books 鈥� for publisher HarperCollins.
Gaiman, who has written for both children and adults, will begin with the picture book 鈥淐hu鈥檚 Day,鈥� which follows a panda named Chu who has a loud sneeze. It will be released next January. The second picture book will also follow Chu鈥檚 adventures.
Of the three chapter books, one will be a sequel to Gaiman鈥檚 children鈥檚 novel 鈥淥dd and the Frost Giants,鈥� a book about a Norse boy named Odd that was inspired by Norwegian mythology. Another of the chapter books for HarperCollins is currently titled 鈥淔ortunately, the Milk,鈥� but no other details are known. All three books are classified as 鈥渕iddle grade" and are intended for readers aged 8 to 12.
