Massachusetts governor Deval Patrick will be writing two more books, according to a new deal he鈥檚 signed with publisher Hyperion Books.
Patrick, whose book 鈥淎 Reason to Believe鈥 came out in 2011, will write a book that his agent Todd Shuster told The Boston Globe will be about 100 pages and will be released only in e-book form this May. It will cost $2.99 and will be titled 鈥淔aith In the Dream: A Call to Our Nation's Liberal Majority to Restore American 海角大神.鈥
In the e-book, Patrick will ask readers give him their definition of the American dream and to tell Patrick stories of how they themselves have pursued it. Some of these stories will then be included in Patrick鈥檚 second book, due in 2014.
"I want to hear from the American people about their faith in the American dream and promise," Patrick said in a press release.
President and publisher of Hyperion Ellen Archer said she believes the e-book format will provide new opportunities for reaching readers.
鈥Releasing an electronic exclusive opens up a whole new space 鈥 the digital frontier 鈥 and allows us to spread the Governor鈥檚 visionary message far and wide in ways that were never before possible,鈥 Archer said in a statement.
Patrick鈥檚 first book, 鈥淎 Reason to Believe,鈥 was published by Broadway Books.
